Nanotechnology is that field of technological application that operates on nanometric scales, i.e. below one billionth of a metre. At this level, one is able to operate on molecular scales and activate effects that are physically different from those one is accustomed to with materials made on ‘normal’ scales.
This is where nanotechnology insulation exists, which has a number of fundamental advantages. Firstly, only a few millimetres of thickness are needed to achieve the same thermal insulation capabilities as materials such as rock wool, wood fibre or polystyrene. The low thickness makes it possible to avoid structural modification of building facades and thus reduce labour costs. Furthermore, they are very resistant materials, unlike the materials of so-called traditional coats. In addition to this, they are solutions that still guarantee breathability, are almost always ecological, fireproof and do not require maintenance, at least for long periods.
Also in the industrial sector, nanotechnology allows thermal insulation solutions for the metal surfaces of silos, pipes, containers, sheds, cold rooms, guaranteeing not only insulation but also anti-oxidation and anti-condensation, which considerably reduce maintenance costs.
Natis srl offers three nanotechnology thermal insulation products, each suited to different needs: from Natis Paste for insulating facades of both residential and commercial buildings, to Natis Paint, which is the paint-like version but actually insulates like a small 4 or 5 centimetre thick coat, to Natis Industrial for any industrial need.
